Something Tasty
Now in paperback
Dear Readers,
I’ve been writing these food-inspired short stories since February 2024! Can you believe it’s been nearly two years? I can’t! I hope they entertained you and made you hungry. I also hope they inspired you to eat well and cook more at home. I also hope they made you laugh!
This past December 2025, after nearly two years of writing over 50 short stories, I felt that I had exhausted the Something Tasty format. Although I love writing on Substack and reading what my fellow writers are posting here, at the end of the day, I’d rather hold a physical book in my hand to read. It’s not that I mind reading things in digital format, I just prefer paper. Consequently, I decided to publish Something Tasty as a collection of short stories. (TODAY!)
The stories I chose to print were some of my favorites and I hope if you didn’t read them the first time, you’ll do so now. Besides the ever-present food element in every story, there are recurrent themes of questionable relationships, moving to new places, surviving teenagers, finding romance later in life, and the overwhelming question of what to make for dinner - every night.
Going forward, I’m still deciding what Something Tasty should become…or not. In the meantime, I have a few other books to finish writing and I’m working on the adaptation of at least two screenplays I wrote eons ago into full-length novels. In the meantime, I’d be very pleased if you ordered a copy of the book.
